Pay a premium for earlier jets....or play a waiting game on an unknown. The dice are being rolled up in the C suite.

From Wacker drive rumors :

45 350s firm orders with actual delivery schedule
55 330-900 neo firm orders and fast delivery ( need the lift from 757/767 for domestic since 737-10 delay)

100 more 321s firm orders

Id love to see it but no way we take on two new fleets.

I doubt he will sign up for the 330 but the 350 maybe the price to pay to get more 321 soon.

If this is tries, idk why he would entertain this. P&W has been nothing short of embarrassing with the engine situation. If this is true, idk why SK woukd even consider it..

Don’t think those in the know on Wacker drive leak sensitive proprietary info like this. Kirby has stated in pilot meetings that adding the 350 now would slow down growth. He said it could be a 777 replacement at the end of the decade and beyond but not anytime soon. Never say never but he’d have to foresee one hell of a 787 delivery delay along with expected delays in excess of 2 years in the MAX-10 to place orders like you referenced above. I could be wrong….

Wasn’t the crew rest issue on the 350 a main driver for not taking delivery?

Delta has a waiver for it. I believe it’s only a cut in a mattress that reduces the restable space

the entire reason for this rumor/trip is because Kirby sees our growth slowing due to no/slow aircraft deliveries.

so do we slow growth with a new fleet or slow growth because of no airplanes?

what new fleet? We need 321 now. 350 still wouldn’t show up for another 4-5 years.
