Application locked
 

Hello all,

I am curious if anyone might be able to give me some insight on what is going on with my application. My application appears to be locked except for the personal inforation section. It states "Your application is in review". It is my understanding that this might be a good sign I hope? I was told that this could mean the hiring team might be sending a hogan test. I'm curious if anyone knows how long it takes to get the hogan test sent to you? My application has been locked for about a month now with no hogan invite. I know there's a ton of applications and this could be why it's taking a while? Or perhaps something else?

Went to update mine recently, to discover the same thing - locked and under review. Fingers crossed. I had a friend who recently went through the process say his was locked for a few weeks before receiving a hogan test and subsequent interview.

Yeah, I'm in the same boat. Locked for over a month now. If rumors are true and they're canceling therir May & June classes we'll probably be waiting a while.

same Thing fo me, it's been almost 5 weeks now.

Mine was locked for a week or more. Then came the Hogan and about a week later came the invite to interview. Hang tight, but that's a good sign.

I started a profile a few months ago, got sidetracked and was unable to complete it. I attempted to start the process again today and the site identified me as already starting a profile. It will not let me enter my information without a link that was e-mailed to me a few months ago. I may have inadvertantly deleted it. I emailed United Recruiting. Any other suggestions?

They should reply to you quickly. I contacted them once and they replied the next day. Search through your deleted emails... it's a code that you need to enter. The link is not the issue. https://pilothiring.united.com/s/authenticationpage

I was just at the Webinar they did Friday night with Spitfire.

They no longer lock applications. They should remain open from here on out. If your application is locked right now, you might want to reach out to their hiring department because it might cause issues on their end.

That's incorrect. They clearly stated they don't completely lock it out. The talk was about post hogan and pre interview also. They allow you some leeway to add informaiton and update flight times.

Submitted it a while ago. Just been updating it as flight times change / I joined some new volenteer groups. I noticed it was locked about a month ago.

Not sure if its just me, but I can only update personal information. Start date, Passport number, Name change, etc. Every other aspect of the application is locked.

Mine is locked the same way as well. It's been almost 2 weeks

Same here, it was in mid-Jan when I logged in to update times. Been locked since.

I noticed my app also got locked about 1 month ago. This morning, I received an email that basically notified me of my app being l locked and to be patient for the next step. Kind weird that it took a month for this email to get sent. Has anyone received anything similar?

It's trying to get you acclimated to our awesome IT - it's all part of the plan.

Sounds like thats a good thing! I'm having an issue with my application as well. I can't for the life of me get back into the employment references section to make changes and add more references. I'm in the employment section and have tried adding another employer or another position but it will then just have me save it and exit back to the main page. Anyone seen this before!? It's been very frustrating.

I've been locked & in review for two months.....

It never “un”locks. My application still shows as locked for review and I’ve been on property for a year now.

You’ll either get a TBNT based on your app, or the hogan in your email. I’ve heard of rare cases of an app locking and then unlocking without any further follow up (TBNT or hogan), but those are few and far between it seems. Either way, staying locked without a TBNT is a good thing.

I just got the inventory assessment. Been locked for about just shy of three months.

My guess is that with all the CJOs already in the pipeline, and the pause in classes, things are just moving slowly. I think I got my Hogan invite within 24 hours of the app lock, but this was in October when hiring was still going gangbusters. That said, you got the invite 😎 Good luck with the Hogan, and as others have said, don't overthink it :)

I have not even entered my name or ATP number because that portion is locked. Any ideas?

Do I have to fill out a whole new one?
 

After searching for the United First officer application the first or second link that comes up is this website pilothiring.united.com/s/firstofficer. I filled out the entire application and was waiting on one last Recommendation before I submitted it but then it exited out. I was clicking "Save" through each section but now my application is no where to be found. Do I really need to fill out an entire new one? Why is there no log in ? One simple click on from the first link on google seems a little sus. Is there something I'm missing? Why is there not a create a profile process where I can log in?

They send the log in information to the email you have on your app. Make sure to check your spam if not there

Email their pilot recuiting team with the information and they'll update it for you!

I received a my Hogan on April 4th and Interview invite on the 5th.

I had a friend recommended completing the app before I even reach ATP mins, so my app has been in since Oct 2022, got my ATP in May 2023. Currently at 2000TT and 900 multi-turbine.

How many internal recs? Any recruiting event one on one? Are you at an affiliated regional?

1 internal rec, 1 letter of rec from a retired UAL captain. I attended RTAG and NGPA, as well as attended 2 pilot recruiting team Q&A webinars. Currently at a ULCC.

What does it mean if it does go from locked to unlocked?

I would like to know too. I went back and mine was unlocked after being locked for months. I don't know when it happened, so I updated my info and submitted it again.
