Yeah not gonna happen. Never underestimate how many guys that live in DEN, IAH, and ORD burbs decide to start commuting to SFO WB Capt once the house becomes empty nest. Used to see it all the time.

Within 4 years the post merger hires (2012/2013) will be 5000 seniority. I get what your saying but the merged seniority list is shrinking rapidly.

I think it all depends on the next contract.

Wow, you’re right. I was hired in 2007 and will be 49XX in May, 2028. That’s good news.

Just talked to a 2013 hire that said he was less than 4 years away from the bottom SFO 777 CA with the current retirement numbers according to the seniority number report on CCS.

That doesn't take into account any new 787s, which start coming in September and this bid isn't addressing.

Would honestly be shocked if we don't see post merger hires in the left seat of a WB by the end of 2026.

you dont understand what that list means. Its strictly retirements and assumes nobody is going to bid in ahead of you.
Current vacancy bid, only half the 2005 cal and half the 1998 LUAL can hold it. That means you must be 25%. No way in he[[ 2012 hire will get it in 2 years.

Since we update our SL once a year the below numbers are YOY:

Pre and post COVID Junior WB Captain ran between 5000-5500. I don’t see any reason for that hystorical average to change.

United isn’t going to park any WBs until new ones replace them. So we should either remain static or that number will get more junior as new 787s arrive.

by the time 2028 rolls around the 2012 hires will have 16 years at United…….time is ticking by fast and the post merger hires are getting senior.

Looks like some of the forced upgrades are getting rescued in this bid! Guppy captain actually going senior!

Well Wb if you include the 767. If we are talking just the 787/777 it was not close to 5000 pre covid, and only recently post covid in SFO could 5000 hold it.

Is it even worth looking at the snapshots? Given that at any moment, someone senior could add a bid that supersedes a more junior person's bid.. And that there's still almost a week left to go. Right?

They're like those color coded weather maps ... red and green are different. How red? they're not perfect.
