buy a coffee before the flight. I know, we barely make enough to scrape by, but I think most can manage

as long as I ve been pushing buttons, I kindly ask my inflight crew to brew me a cup.......sure I've tasted much better but can't beat the price and occasionally the person next to me acts as if I'm drinking tap water in the third world....yet I still have a medical.

You know of all the F4S food for sale or whatever trendy nomenclature that's currently being used.......crew members are routinely consuming items and not paying for them......I don't remember too many CCS messages about the Savory Snack Box....... I think the difference is the company is/was expecting a fair amount of revenue from Illlys......and our millennial customers...they wouldn't dare pay $10 for that Recline Snack box or $6 for the Mega Omega....but for Cold Brew....ohohohohohohoh they'll friggin pay!

The hilarious thing about the Illy cold brew is that it is absolutely awful. Dirt in a can would probably be my best description of the stuff.

Hopefully it's shelf stable for a long time because I don't see a lot of it being sold.

Every time I drink cold brew from somewhere, it’s just way too bitter. I think I’ve only ever had one cold brew that I enjoyed (from a little mom and pop place in Michigan). Illy is no different. Way too bitter. Yes, I know this is subjective.

The stuff is trash. Just buy a good cold brew in the terminal. The Illy stuff is terrible.

If you like black coffee try the stōk blueish green bottle from the grocery store. It’s delightful.

Or ask inflight for a coffee and two cups of ice.

I was disappointed how bitter it tasted. But, apparently the caffeine content is much higher than the swill they brew onboard. So I’ll drink the cold brew for medicinal purposes as needed.

It flies out of my fridge.

The yellow Stōk is pretty good. The Purple is potent.

Whatever you do, don’t open a La Colombe cold brew on a DH. It exploded not 15 seconds after I got my cup of ice. I then proceeded to sit in wet M&H sandpaper pants in an economy middle seat for 4 hours.

I think they changed their recipe, cause I had that happen twice to me a while back, then decided to tempt fate again recently and it was just fine.

I’ll go open it over the sink in the lav next time

Yeah cold brew is meant to be diluted; it’s essentially coffee concentrate, the long brewing time makes for a significantly higher caffeine content/strong flavor. I didn’t realize that at first and consumed far more caffeine than I intended.

Add Ice/water at a minimum.

What was that I read in the email -- we're supposed to buy the snack boxes? Raise your hand if you've ever actually bought one on the line...

At Delta we're not even supposed to be allowed big water bottles.. we're supposed to drink like ten of the 6oz first class ones instead.

Cold brew is hit and miss at the airport.

If you like ice coffee, you can also order an iced americano... hard to screw up espresso, water, and ice.

I had one at the airport yesterday that was still nasty after replacing about 1/3 of it with half n' half.

IMO they should dilute it for you if you buy a cup at the airport. If you buy a gallon at the grocery store, that's different.

Agreed. If it’s coming to you in a cup it should be ready to drink- canned I’d expect to dilute.

is it cold brew concentrate? That might be why you need to cut it with water to make it not suck
