Default 831 Vacancies on Latest Bid

146 Captains
685 First Officers

30 WB CA 777 and 787 mostly SFO.
80 Airbus CA in ORD and 25 Airbus CA in SFO.
The rest are 756 IAD/EWR
No Guppy CA.

250 Airbus FO and 410 Guppy FO.
The rest are 756.
No WB FO.

Looks like this will cover a lot of new hire classes over the next 120 days, which is how long the company has to award them to new hires before they have to rebid them.

831 slots looking like just enough to cover the entirety of UA Pilot hiring for 2025, assuming May-Sep classes don’t cancel

Well they only have 120 days of use. They'll have to do more later. I think lots will depend on whether or not Boeing gets the crap together in 2025.

Ain't that the truth. At least we're getting a trickle finally of 787's and the A321s seem to be coming at a decent clip based on the CRU today.

My theory is that they're double posting NBFO positions to allow coverage of any random delivery pattern

Senior is relative, the junior ORD captain on the snapshot is a 2023 hire. Five years ago that would be a laughable assertion.

But yes, everything has closed up quite a bit compared to last year's upgrade free for all.

14,500 isn't very senior historically. It's no longer new hires but it's not the early 2000s lol. Some of us sat the lost decade as FOs and my year group was lucky. Those a few years behind are double furloughees. Don't get me wrong I'm thrilled for this generation but if upgrades are still within a few years that's faster than most airlines out there currently and way junior than historical norms.

Bottom SFO 320 CA is 155XX. I guess going senior these days just means no unfilled CA vacancies.🤪🤪
