From a qualifications standpoint, United easily hires the best candidates. Worlds largest airline, most widebodies, good work culture/environments, great training programs. Let's hope we see some merit-based hiring in the new administration now. And please no more rocket explosions over commercial airspace.

Not even close. United was skewed to DEI 30 yrs ago. If you weren't a female or a different ethinc group, you needed 5,000 hrs widebody time to get hired.

Completey and demonstrably incorrect. Ask me how I know.
Needing 5000 hrs w/b time was B.S. |

How much were you touting the excellent (though not as good as the last 4 years) stock market under Trump 1.0? “How’s your 401k doing?” was a rebuttle for a lot of liberal complaints back then. You didn’t hear that very much the last four years.

That would be a weird statement, considering the market performed better under Trump’s 1st presidency (57% vs 40%) than it did during Biden. Although, the performance of the market was flat for the first 2 years under Biden, so on a dollar-cost averaging basis, you were able to buy lower for a longer period. Under Trump it was a pretty steady increase.

Your belief that white guys should get interviews at ALL the airlines is victim pity party stuff. Delta or FedEx didn't interview civilians(barely). Over 45yo couldn't get interviewed anywhere. Go back before that and no women or minorities got interviews. |

ahh, the old sUpPlY cHaIn excuse. There were some supply chain issues but they were made exponentially worse by Biden’s and Trudeau’s excessive and unneeded lockdown and vax policies. Funny how you have supply chain issues after you arrests and lock down the bank accounts of Truck Drivers, funny how that works eh?
What had more to do with the hyperinflation were Biden's disastrous energy policies. Europe's own energy policies didn't help with their inflation either. They gave hundreds of billions of dollars to Russia to cover their energy shortfalls due to disastrous green energy initiatives. Russia invaded Ukraine by using all that money along with recognizing Biden’s weakness after his disastrous pull out in Afghanistan. |
