3931414[/url]]I’m confused now…….at Netjets do pay on your own and then you expense everything? Or is it already set up (airline style)?………or does your Amex Card say NetJets on it?

This argument is a waste of time. Never gonna happen for two reasons:

1.) the company isn’t going to pay anymore than they have to for us to get hotel points, at least not without addressing other points in the contract.

2.) ALPA can’t charge dues money for it.

(It could also count as imputed income and carry a huge tax bill with it).

Amazing how people making $500k+ a year moan and complain about not getting enough free stuff worth pennies at best..

I happen to have some knowledge of this situation. Most hotels restrict point and stay credit accruals for direct billed rooms, as well as wholesale rooms (Priceline, Orbitz, etc) Combine that with the fact that United pays a substantially lower rate than a random person does, and you can see why they dont want to be giving out points. Additionally, pilots may arrive at midnight and leave at 5pm, a random person pays 2 nights for that stay, United does not. Bottom line is, unless we the pilots negotiate points accrual into the contract, it aint gonna happen. What are willing to give up for those points?

It’s funny how this thread started with people listing properties and bragging about the ones that give stay credit/ points and now we have come to the sobering reality that not only is it rare but it’s “Never gonna happen”

What you say may be correct but I don’t think it’s that simple across the board. The fact remains that there are indeed places that do give out stay credit which tells me that this a case by case thing.

This is true, but it's not required and the hotel could stop at any moment.

We are still paying a cheaper direct-billed rate. It’s inherent in the rate that points and stays are not offered.
