It’s hard here to credit 130 hours a month even with gaming the system and not work hard.

If I felt like going to work tomorrow, I’d wind up right around 130 hours while working 12 turns this month. Not going to do it though, so I’ll finish July crediting around 110 for 11 days of work with every night at home. 35% NB FO.

Also averaged over 100 credit last year while blocking less than 300 for the year by bidding mostly reserve.

Neither of those strategies are going to work for everybody, and obviously having a little seniority helps, but there are plenty of different ways to make decent money here.

I'm an AA puke. I just throw in for premium the evening before I start a stretch of reserve, so when they call I pull the whole thing at 1.5x above guarantee, and it blows up the remainder of that week of reserve (we don't have 1-2 day trips that start after noon) anyway. It's been pretty reliable for me in the busier half of the year, but like I said I'm in a seat where it's easier for the game to be played (namely, midlevel seniority WB), and I live in base.

I doubt that NetJets pays full fare for any of their pilot stays, so why hasn’t ALPA stepped up and negotiated with the hotels to get us a stay credit at the least??

Airline rates are specifically excluded from any loyalty programs. No corporate pilot shop including NetJets gets airline rates, so their pilots get the status, and yes, that does mean NetJets pays about three times as much for the rooms. Did it for almost a decade. Awesome. Was it worth the lower pay though?

Like I said I m sure there are people who do, but of our NOW 18K workforce what percentage do?……..remember my rebuttal was in response to brand us as a workgroup/profession of making > 500 K.

I just think that is a very very inaccurate Characterization.

This is very true if you aren’t in the top 30 percent of a BES and live in base. I feel like too seniority guys can easily do 130 easily.

I flew with a FO who was pulling in what I do at min guarantee as a CA. I call him a day trader because he lived on crew companion to monitor the trade board….

I don’t think that is possible at 6 days at nearly all seniority ranges. Even if you working triple pay, that’s still less than 100 hours.

My response was to the guy who said:

Who's making 500K ? LMAO please.”

Again, lots of people here are making 500K+.

It’s definitely possible, I saw paystub lol.

But having the seniority to pick up premium/senior manning and take advantage of broken trips with great soft pay, very doable…

I’ll believe it when I see it. 130 credit hours in 6 days of work is 21-ish hours per day. I’m single digit seniority in BES and can’t comprehend how to make 4x pay per day.

I missed it - where are you getting the six days of work?
