I didn't know too much of Charlie Kirk, but from what I saw, I was impressed. I think he was unfairly labeled, but I wasn't and won't dive into every statement he made to prove one point or the other. I certainly wouldn't portray the late Mr Kirk as a Nazi.
The problem here is that praising the assassination of anyone is reprehensible and, IMHO, a sign of mental issues. Which is grounds for removal of his medical. Germanwings comes to mind. Now, we all have little demons in our heads that sometimes are in the forefront of our thoughts. But as pilots, we are held to a higher standard than the general public and are expected to keep our 'fecal matter' together. Put another way, be able to stow all of our baggage underneath the seat in front of us. If a pilot has difficulty controlling those demons, they would be well served to not post on the internet. No matter which side of the political spectrum one resides, violence and the praise of violent actions is unacceptable. Let this young man's actions serve as a lesson for all of us. Don't let hate consume you. Be smart, be safe, and consider calling/telling your loved ones that you love them.. |
Appalled, as usual, that the Facebook United Pilot Forum removed the post discussing this guy. I don't know how people are expected to learn from the mistakes of others if they don't know what is going on.

If you read past the white nationalists claims, nowhere does the person say they’re glad they’re dead, just that they aren’t losing sleep over it. Quite honestly way too many people are being fired for saying what our elected leaders SHOULD be saying. Do not white wash Kirk’s terrible history just because he was brutally killed. |
Milo has nothing to do with the post other than exposing it. The fact is that Andrew Schweitzer posted something outrageous. Political violence can never be normalized.

Now... go look at Charlie Kirk's videos, watch them in entirety and not left-wing edited clips and tell me where he advocated for anything remotely as evil as you claim. Just because someone disagrees with your views DOES NOT make them divisive, white nationalist, or evil. On the other hand.......... look at what you're saying. |
