Yes they definitely don’t like change…….like I said I’m not here to debate which is better. However the company needs to convince them it is, and just thinking about from that senior mamas perspective…….she is getting a good deal ……why does she need to fix something that isn’t broken?, and to fix it she has to learn a bidding software.

I guarantee the 81 year old types (one was working what they consider a very desirable trip I was non-reving on recently; she’s been here 57 years) are terrified of learning something new and those types are single issue “no voters” (PBS)…..

To anyone bragging about their PBS bidding skills, unless you're super senior and can cherry pick those coveted heavy soft time trips, most of the flying is limited by the pairings themselves. They are constructed in a certain manner. Imagine if there was a way for pairings to be built per our preferences while meeting specific Company guidelines.
Now that would be a game changer!

Example: From EWR, generally speaking when we see TLV and when we had the India destinations we saw wide body high time credit.
They just see hundreds of unruly, difficult passengers that treat them like dirt on long flights. Those are very productive trips but Not everyone can deal with the additional stress and are willing to sacrifice a lot of money to avoid it.

The biggest issue with the vacation, and to some extent the training issue, is people fail to switch their paradigm.
For line bidding, it is all about days off and what conflicts you set up. For PBS, it's all about hours towards your obligation. You want that daily value as high as possible. There is zero good in having vacation that is partially pay only. All that does is pay you for a vacation day without actually providing time off.
A lot of people get hung up when their cheese may get moved. Games always change, so change your game.
