In the case of the 764 it's identical to 777/787 pay. So the senior end of the 75/76 pilot pool (at least on the east coast) can just bid for 764 trips. Not sure if much 764 flying is available for the other bases.

the most junior 764 pilot at dl flies nothing but. pay is 100% 330/350 pay. top pay. what are we missing?

Friendly, my man…. Those NGs are going to get parked at some point…. Unless there’s another Narrowbody order in the chamber down the road (likely)…. There’s growth and replacements factored in.

Some numbers right off our projections.

There is a female pilot hired in late 2018 at 23 in fact she turned 23 just before class. She will hold WB Captain by 36 fly it for 29 years if she wants.

Fast forward to another 23 year old hired 6 months ago. They only will hold WB Capt last 12 years yes still good but nothing like 2018.

A friend was hired at 45 3 months ago so 20 years. He does not get below 8700

If you are over 37 you will not get senior here period. Good career yes

Interesting data! Guess I'll have to check when I get on property.

Looking to be 31ish when hired based on current projections. Would be curious how the numbers look!

did the Delta “wall” fall on the true WB (330/350) or the 764?

if it’s the 764 apples to apples can’t be compared since United flies them all on the same fleet. The 764 “wall” fell at United years ago.

It’s the A330

A 45 year old getting hired at AA in 2013 would have retired as number 500. Quite the difference

Interesting. I'm not 37 but very low 30s. Ultimately there's nothing I can do about it but I'm definitely worried about being this side of the big hiring wave. Time will tell how that impacts my career, not anything I can do about it. I get bummed out when I dwell on it, so I try not to dwell.

You get bummed out?, lol Brother...........I got hired in late 2024 (after the biggest hiring wave in the history of airlines) at the geriatric age of 45...... I will lever be senior on anything. There are those that are older than me that have yet to be hired. The absolute worst thing you can do in this industry is compare your career or path to others. (Comparison is the thief of Joy) The Lost decade folks will never have career trajectory like the COVID Kids.......... In the words of Joe Dirt, just gotta keep on keeping on.
