what auto-brakes do you use on this 12000 ft runway you ran data for (assuming this a 737?)

if it wasn’t auto-brakes 3 then like it or not he was correct.

agreed

As much as I hate to say it, but whatever it takes to get you to be concerned about doing your job better is ok. Is making sure you’ve covered your ass the best motivation? Maybe not, but your passengers and crew will appreciate due diligence from wherever it comes.

Why wouldn't you get landing data? Takes 10 seconds at my airline, I doubt it would take a lot longer at United. And yes, a big chunk of what we do is CYA. But we get paid a crap load of money to do a mostly really easy job, God forbid we put a bit of extra effort in. Go work retail 135 for a few years then come back with some perspective..
