At the risk of "feeding the trolls", this discussion may have some merit. NYC is the only current point where both airlines have bases. Will it be status quo because there are more CAL pilots in EWR, resulting in retention of the current CAL pilot's reps?
I too would like to hear the UAL pilots take on their own NYC reps integrity and historic performance. Are those UAL reps up for the task of being LEC reps in a suddenly huge base in the event they are elected? I can't get that information by picking up the phone and calling anyone, so I don't really see how calling DS a coward, even remotely applies here. CAL EWR obviously assumed they knew his identity and guessed wrong, calling his own credibility into question. CAL pilot too, is there a specific issue you thought or were promised would get attention that hasn't since the election of the current leadership? |
Calpilottoo are you going to run for election and thus make the changes that need to be made or just yell from the cheap seats on how things should be?

So I'll ask again. Is there any United pilots who would like to discuss their reps? For me and I think my opinion matters unlike the CAL pilot above who thinks otherwise, I am unhappy with the current EWR reps. Sorry he/she could not simply say he is pleased with his/her work and express their opinion that way. Instead in typical EWR rep format they attack anyone who dissagrees with them by calling them trolls.
Our Rep's are there for the pilots. They will go up against management anytime there are abuses. My hat's off to them, at least when I used to wear a hat now that it is voluntary to wear a hat (or cover for your brain-housing-group or whatever you call it)I guess I'll have to salute them. |

"John,
Thank you for providing all the significant evidence of everything sent out by the company and CAL ALPA regarding our freeze of the "A" plan. I am very thankful you saved literally everything from the Contract 02 debacle! I have forwarded this and your other e-mail with all the Contract 02 documentation to Tara and Kaye to review. Tara, Kaye and I are going to demand an independent ERISA audit of the "A" plan, certainly not one by ALPA or CAL. Kaye is going to archive all the significant data you have provided us, and we will make sure it's used in the audit or otherwise as approproate. Sorry for the late response, catching up on a few hundred e-mails after vacation and prior to this weeks ALPA National Kool Aid, oh I mean ALPA National Leadership Training. Again, I can't thank you enough for providing this very important evidence. Fraternally, Jayson [email protected]" This is Shannon Smith typing this tonight here in a friends crashpad. I was shown this thread and my name being mentioned in its early stages. Here is what our current LEC Capt rep thinks of ALPA Nationals Leadership Training. As soon as I get them I will post emails where Jayson suggests a decertification of ALPA might be in order. It was prior to his election and was unknown to me at the time. |
