The capacity decrease is from an aggressive narrowbody painting schedule.
The one manpower positive I see for UAL is going to a 6 month PC/PT cycle this year. on that note..i heard that at CAL the pc's were on days off...is that true? I find that hard to believe..could be just someone flameing out. |

Yes he was right they are pre-loaded into PBS so they are blocked days and they can reduce your 12 days off min when you have training.
But on a more optimistic view: Hopefully that is one of the items to address in the new contract so that cannot happen, which will also lead to increased manpower..small but we will take anything we can get now. |

I am not being critical in the next comment....did the pilot group not realize this when they voted for this in the contract or did the company pull a "loophole" type thing on you.

Yes these are the guys you'll be working with side by side who would actually vote yes on a contract with blank sections in it. I found it astounding that it passed when we voted on it and still can't believe people could be so stupid and misled. |

The one thing that you can be sure of is that if it costs one cent more, Jeffy and friends will not be doing it. Look for a once a year PC cycle ala CAL.
Of course, it's a TK rumor so you almost guarantee it's wrong |
