Since you brought it up, let's be clear & address your statement....

UAL's B777 "Hawaiian Cattle Car's" CAN'T fly certain CAL B777 routes. Look at EWR to Mumbai, Delhi, Beijing, Narita (outbound), Hong-Kong, Shanghai....ALL of those segments are over the 12 hrs flying block, thus NEEDING dedicated crew-rest/BUNKS which some of the above mentioned UAL B777's are not equiped with.

....BUT I guess you being a "SAM", you already knew about this??

Actually I think he mentioned that about the cattle cars.

I was kidding. From some of CAL's pilots, EWR's lec chair, and an employee comment on skynet, there are those who uphold that belief. Believe me, I fly them enough to know they are not ratty.

Not a criticism but an observation. The wide bodies that pass thru Paris are pretty sad looking on the outside. The inside, I don't know as I haven't been on a UAL airplane in seven or eight years.

I totally agree with you. Be it the battleship grey or the banana peel quality paint job as of late, the exteriors leave something to be desired. The interiors are in very good shape, and the mechanics of the aircraft are good as well..
