Default EMAIL from A.P. Gardener

Has anyone here received this email? I did not and would like to read it since to read what the opposition writes is the key to winning the battle. Wondering if we could trace this email with modern technology? Ideas?

I'm sure it'll be posted here eventually... It really was a worthless piece of whiny drivel that served no purpose (unless it was written by a company stooge)...but that's just my opinion. I'm constantly amazed at our ability to undercut ourselves at every turn. If that manifesto gets posted, then I hope Steve Wallachs reply gets posted as well.

It serves no purpose to air the ramblings of a disgruntled coward that doesn't know what he is talking about. Who it is doesn't matter - the fact that he is spreading untrue information around during JCBA negotiations is dangerous to our united front during negotiations with MGT.

To even give more publicity to it serves no purpose IMO.

Though Wallachs "letter to the editor" is filled with its own mistakes and political musings. Only slightly less drivel.

True.

I was offended by Wallach's, so I'd hate to read AP Gardeners.

And the plot now thickens, this is off the UAL forum( I left the posters name off )

This might explain what is going on and why the UAL ALPA forum was shut down

I spent the last few weeks trying to truly figure out why our star-chamber MEC members needed to turn off the forum. Silence Neil? Control a message? Self-preservation? No-one knows but them I guess.

For the past few days I start hearing rumblings about an ongoing investigation by G-Men Image regarding some issues/actions partaken by some MEC members at the meeting down in Florida. I am not one to start a rumor, but I certainly asked around. Even asked someone who was certainly there and he said he was not allowed to discuss the matter. Not a denial, just a deflection. Adds a little weight.

So maybe now I have the real reason? Makes one think.

I read all the MEC mailings, I read all the C-12 stuff. I used to use the forum as a one stop for all my info but it is no more. Some of the MEC reps were attempting to get a discussion going on me and my 'new forum' during the 4 hour discussion on closing down the old one.....in-between hands of video poke of course. Some wanted to Art8 me! Sound familiar?

Not confirming or denying anything. I do ask that you call your rep. to confirm. Ask him if he is under an active federal investigation. Ask him if the MEC is truly 'unified' :roflmao: :roflmao: to secure an industry leading contract. Somebody called the cops?? Ask him that if answer to Q-1 is yes, why he hasn't resigned yet; to further the cause of the membership rather than himself for a change. I have NO clue as to the players were here. If it was my rep. I will recall at next meeting. I will do my best to find out a start a revolution to hold my MEC to a standard they have appeared to have long forgotten.

The FBI is a tenacious beast and they do not like wasting their time. Charges will stem from this if they are spending the resources to investigate. I truly hope ALPA legal has read them in on 18 U.S.C. Section 1001 (making false statements to a Fed. statute.) I hope nobody goes to jail, but it might be wake-up call to those who forgot why they are elected, or why they even ran in the first place.

Still glad you shut down the forum? :goodjob:

This post is meant to provide background information to fellow UAL pilots as to what is being discussed. It in no way represents my opinion or belief, nor do I have any direct facts related to the accusation other than those provided by the source quoted below.

The UAL ALPA forum was shut down by the UAL MEC. One potential reason given by UAL ALPA detractors is an accusation backed up by supposed emails copied and posted on the UAL forum that explained how a UAL ALPA representative recorded the conversation of a fellow pilot while said pilot was discussing issues related to the creation of a non-ALPA union and then the UAL ALPA rep is accused of offering to play and/or actually playing the recording for fellow UAL ALPA members to listen to. Should this accusation prove to be true it is in fact a violation of Federal law.

I have no first hand knowledge of any of this, and am merely explaining what my understanding is of the logic behind the letter quoted above.

Here is part of a post from another forum that provided me with this information:

two members of the UAL MEC thought it would be just a grand idea to allow this Capt "X" fellow to play these illegally recorded private phone conversations to a closed session of the MEC at the ALPA BOD meeting held in Miami in October. However it occurred to SOME very astute members of the UAL MEC that these recorded private phone conversations, recorded without that person’s knowledge or consent are in fact illegal to posses or listen to, in every State of the Union (for anyone who cares, this is also against Federal Law……..Google it!!). This grand idea was, thankfully, shot down. The entire UAL MEC was witness to this flash of genius.

My sincere hope is that when law enforcement (NOT TSA as is rumored) starts asking pointed and very uncomfortable questions about this matter, they don’t continue to try to play cover-up because that would also be ILLEGAL.
