So as long as no one moves backwards it's okay. That is pretty shortsighted considering that 240+/mo prevents someone from moving up the seniority list and creating at least one new job.

What would you rather have, flying 240+/mo making $1/hr, or making $240/hr flying 1 hr a month? Did you blink?

CAL is getting ready to hire another 900 FA's, so I don't think anyone is moving backwards. These time hog FA's all work together to massage each others lines, so I don't think people are being screwed out of work. They only build so many lines, so many moveup lines, so many speaker lines, and so many reserve lines, and that's it. Then they work with what they've got. I used to think the same as you, but some of the junior FA's said they liked it the way it is, so if they're happy, I'm happy. And right now the CAL FA's are making around $52 or so an hour, so they're WAY ahead of the UAL FA's, at least according to the UAL FA's I've spoken with. And to be perfectly honest, I don't care how much they make as long as they're good with it. Me on the other hand, I'll take all we can't negotiate for ourselves. :p
