Who lost What?

I remember all too well what we gave up, in $/hour (pension & work rules are another story): 30%, plus the loss from pay-banding in '03, then another 11.8% in '05. For me as a 'Bus captain, that was 48.8%

Does anyone remember what % the other employee groups ended up giving back after the second round?

The company is in the "divide and conquer" mode, and when the F/As, rampers, and gate agents start with their whining, I want to be able to quantify who gave up what, which should help them align their expectations.

TW, S-UAL or whatever the stupid acronym is today.

F/As 9% pay cut
They had no ESOP stock
Lost pension but pbgc covered full value at age 65

I think that was the first round only. I'm trying to find what every employee group gave up after both the first and second rounds.

Anyone else know?

It's just wag, but in total I thought the mechanics were in the 20-25% range, f/as mid to high teens (but they received a contractual raise prior to their cut), and the others were mid teens.

The second round produced as follows, pilots/11.8%, mechanics/9.8%, f/as/9.5%, gate agents and ground staff/11.5%.

Still looking for round one.

Me too, thats why we deserve longevity pay. The over 60's guys at least owe us the vote on that.

Agreed, but I think you're dreaming if you believe we're even on their radar. Besides, this pilot group are a bunch of pansies...they have forgotten who turns the wheels.

I'm looking for numbers. My sympathies to those who lost, whether it was 41.2% or 100%x2.

My objective is to get cold hard numbers though, not start a complaint sheet. I've got a few complaint sheet items myself, but not here.

Thanks, guys & gals

First, happy thanksgiving to all.

You asked for what was lost from each employee group and longevity is a huge 'cold hard number' for us furloughees. C2003 wiped out the furlough protections in C2000 (which were blatantly ignored after 9/11 anyway). The actual amount obviously varies between individuals, but for me after the first furlough, it was 20% less pay because of longevity lost (others were much higher). For this furlough, it's also dependent on when individuals return. I'm approaching my 12th year, but I would be paid 7 year pay...does that count as 'cold hard number' or is it just a 'complaint sheet'?

No those aren't the numbers I'm looking for. I'm looking for the % that each employee group lost in the first and again in the second round of pay cuts only, and not what many of us lost due to being bumped, lost seniority, or furlough.

So, I'd say your info is "complaint sheet" stuff, not that it's any easier to deal with. Beer's on me when you come back, as it will be for any other furloughees.
