And get time and half for the greater of the duty or the rig. A rig? What are we, United?!

They're offering vacation fly through for reserves as well. So how does that work, " Yeah, I'm on vacation but I'll fly so put me on reserve for my vacation????? ". I don't think there is a provision for vacation fly though for reserves. They are making this up as they go along.

Flying through vacation, on reserve, during Christmas... Doesn't that just make you sick? I sure would be very sick. However, I have not had that problem during the last 3 Christmas' or will this Christmas. Something to do with mid-career involuntary temporary retirement... Otherwise known as furlough.

FO Vjm calls went out today for the 3 day trip tomorrow...its covered three hours later. First leg is CO1155 CLE-MCO on Christmas day. Looks like a G-tard allowed himself to be abused. Way to be you huge waste of space.

Look at his pairing. It may have been the first leg of some trip but not his. He was supposed to be ending his 3-day today with a DH from CLE-IAH after overnighting in CLE. It's easy to be abused at that point: scheduling cancelled his DH and modified his pairing to add the MCO leg and then DH to IAH.

That's our contract. You are essentially a reserve from show time until you get done, even as a line holder. Anything in between and the company can do whatever they want.

Yes, he's IAH but in this case I wouldn't hold it against him for scheduling's use of our weak contractual language. Then again, it was an alphabet soup pairing number to begin with so it could have been picked up on the front end to take advantage of pay opportunities for all I know.

One simple phrase: "I'm unavailable for that assignment."
that won't work if you are a reserve, obviously.
