You don't want to share information! It's not a conspiracy, it happened. You guys made a personal deal with Jeff to get a bonus. Did you sell yourself short?

And that's the stealing money from my wife, myself and my two young boys. I've been on furlough for 9 years now.

Again, those "synergies of efficiency" will sit rotting on the shelves, just like at US Airways. It's the new normal. Just ask Doug Parker.

I have a feeling Jay Pierce is going to stand behind the podium and tell us all it's raining when we know exactly what the liquid is. It ain't water.

Let me guess: "I was furloughed to right size UAL to merge with CAL"
No, I was furloughed because nobody can make money flying around those skypigs otherwise known as 737's.

Tell Jay "thanks" for all the good will he's passed to his L-UAL "brothers".

You cant be serious. Do you understand your furlough and continued furlough has to do with the UA MEC, company and judges actions. Some guys are coming back because of the merger and that's a win... to place your situation on Jay Pierce and the CAL MEC is ridiculous.
The UAL MEC has done me few favors. Same with the courts. And it goes without saying that the company doesn't give a rats ass about us, either. This I've long known and understood.

But when hopes of cobbling together a JCBA anytime in the next few years evaporate with the end-around deal of the L-CAL led by Jay Pierce, yeah I'm dead serious. And for what, one measly year of profit sharing?

There goes my recall chances for another three to five years, but who's counting, right?

I can always kiss my wife and kids goodbye and head off to my swank life as a reserve puke living at my crashpad next to the prison near EWR. I'll see them sometime later in the month. Can't tell them when with any certainty, though. That's no "win" for my family. I didn't move them 10 minutes from ORD so commuting to IAH or EWR would be easier.

You guys scared Jay away.

Council 12 NOTAM

Fellow Council 12 pilots:

On the evening of January 4, 2012, your MEC convened a 3:19 business conference call to discuss and receive briefings regarding our legal and strategic options regarding the CAL MEC Master Chairman negotiating Profit Sharing with management.

As we digest these briefings, it remains clear that we have a strong legal argument and will take the strongest action on all avenues regarding violations to the T&PA and the RLA Section 6 Status Quo.

As this process unfolds, CAL MEC Master Chairman Captain Jay Pierce has just informed us that he will not be attending our Council meeting on January 11, 2012, due to a schedule conflict.

We know you are eager to receive more information. We are facing very important issues and will report the facts to you as they are known and confirmed. We will only act on sound facts and evidence, not on emotion. To achieve this we will not seek instant gratification. The process will be deliberate to achieve the maximum gain for our pilots.

Tomorrow and in the days ahead UAL MEC Master Chairman Captain Jay Heppner will be providing you with more information. Expect more information from us, as well.

Fraternally and in Unity,

Wow, I'm just shocked that he backed out.

Whatever.........

JP is a P.O.S. and nothing but a management wannabe.

I hear you ...but if the future is that bleak, having to commute to EWR (which I do and many others), flying a 737, which is the growing fleet, then why would you put yourself through this again, just as you said to be a reserve puke ( all of us have been)I'm not making light of your concerns, but trying to inject some realism...if you are furloughed, and will be junior on recall, your choices are limited..and Jay is not the reason.

Ask the hard questions, the ones you REALLY don't want to know the truth about. You might be surprised.

Looks like Jay doesn't agree with you liquid.

Because if we had a JCBA, we wouldn't have those terrible work rules that CAL reserve pilots presently have to endure. (And please, if anyone from management thinks this pilot group will settle for CAL's reserve work rules in a JCBA...they are living in La La Land.)

Commuting is one thing--I've done it for years, too...but not for UAL. ORD had always been the most junior (and largest) of domiciles at UAL--and that's why I live here. If I have to be junior again 12 years after I was hired, I have to accept that. Just not commuting any more.

Again...no JCBA (thanks, Jay!), no chance of a near-term recall to UAL for me.

I'm not shocked at all. Might be the only smart thing he's done lately.

Jeff-style town hall? That's funny. Nothing can be further from the truth regarding our town hall meetings/calls. Jeff and his minions control the mics. At least our town halls still honor freedom of speech.
