SLI is to be completed within 90 days of achieving a TA'd JCBA.

An interesting observation from this thread......when it's a bunch of relatively junior guys (who the SLI probably affects most directly), a consensus forms pretty quickly and there seems to be a willingness to settle on neutral ground. As soon as a few of these senior wackos get involved it becomes a ****ing match, winner take all. It gives me some hope that this'll be a decent place to work in 10-15 years.

It is basic arbitration theory, the closer the sides are going into arbitration the more equitable the decision. Sorry, I don't buy into the theory floating around here that it is all out of hands. BS! It is and will be in the hands of our elected reps.
I think a lot of the fear is from the union receiving a lawsuit from pilots who didn't get what they wanted in the integration if the MECs reach an agreement. It's such a difficult topic that who knows what'll happen in a court of law. The other problem is the points the MECs will be arguing from are vastly different. Maybe not America West-US Air different, but certainly not as similar as DAL-NWA.

I believe that's the point at which it goes to arbitration (or maybe the mediation before arbitration).

You may be right. I thought I had read that the seniority integration was to be completed within 90 days of a TA but I checked and don't see that written anywhere in the TPA.
