Ouch!!! and I agree!

Captain Moak didn't get a pay raise. All you have to do is look at the compensation resolution from the 2010 Board of Directors meeting. Only the BOD can change national officer compensation, and they certainly didn't give anyone a pay raise. In fact, they made it a lot more difficult to get reimbursement for expenses.

You speak the truth.

Captain Moak doesn't pay himself. His compensation is authorized and blessed by the Board of Directors...everyone last one of the reps that all pilots elect willingly.

Y'all need to consider the source. Not saying they're lying, but when your stated goal is to discredit and replace ALPA, it is propaganda.

Nobody said Moak pays himself. What does that have to do with this? The BOD set Jeff's 300% pay raise... He didn't set that himself. Doesn't make it any less revolting.

The problem with your statement is that the ALPA BOD did NOT increase Captain Moak's pay. You can read the resolution yourself.

I would never discredit ALPA. ALPA has done that all on its own. How is the contract coming along? Has Captain Moak officially asked the NMB for a release from mediation? Has Captain Moak figured out how many days of strike benefits ALPA can cough up if we hypothetically go on strike? Has Captain Moak figured out how to word the strike assessment justification to the express guys ALPA represents when Scope is clearly the big reason for going on strike? Has Captain Moak figured out how he going to explain to all of us why we have to pay an assessment for the $1.2 Billion TWA judgement against ALPA.

There certainly are some true believers left who snap anytime ALPA is criticized. It's almost like you are insulting Islam to these guys.

From the LM-2 filing:

Gross Salary Increase: +21.5%
Total Compensation Increase: +7.4%

Did the ALPA Pres EVER take a paycut while nearly every ALPA carriers pilots did?

The LM-2 filing is misleading. It was designed to be that way by anti-labor lawmakers who wanted union members to do exactly what you're doing: turn on their own unions. Don't be a sucker.

What the LM-2 considers "compensation" is frequently nothing more than expenses. Expenses can go up or down year to year, depending on what sort of business was taking place that year, causing fluctuations in the LM-2 despite the fact that no actual compensation increase took place.

The ALPA president's compensation is based on the income of the members, so yes, when the members took a pay cut, so did the president. Again, read the resolution. It's all in black and white.
