IAD hub info

What equipment does L-UAL have at IAD? How much flying originates / terminates at DCA or BWI? Thanks.

777
757/767
320

Depends on the equipment as to which airport one might fly from.

We cover all three metro airports with IAD being the main base.

777 only has schedule departures from IAD

757/767 is mainly IAD with maybe one a day from DCA and a couple per day from BWI (this is a wag)

320 is about 60% IAD, 25% DCA, 15% BWI (again an educated wag but close enough for the general idea)

It is extremely rare to be scheduled to begin from one airport and end at the other. If something screws up or you get reassigned, the company then has to crosstown(surface D/H) you back to your originating airport.

Any thoughts of opening it up as a CAL base also? Also, how junior does it run on the UAL side?

Rumors of a guppy base in SFO and IAD. Someone said its on the new flight ops news letter but I have not read it yet. IAD base has a good mix of flying on all jets based here.
I am a Feb 1989 hire and have been a bottom line holder for the last 5 years as a B756 capt. (110 out of 160). On the A320 Capt seat, my seniority would be 23 out of 140. The B777 capt seat is not in range but the FO seat would place me 20 out of 300+. Hope that helps a bit.

Thank you kind Sir! An IAD base would be a big deciding factor if I apply or not. I just don't want to get on and hear "Oh, it's coming soon" for the next 10 years.
