Of course you have forgotten the heart of the court injunction against ALPA was the summer of love (2000). Those 6 months were repeated by Pete McDonald in the court proceedings and put this negotiations in a legal strangle hold.

In short, contract 2000 was a one time deal, never to be repeated again.

So quit all this foolish talk and get on with living.

With this contract, leg by leg pay protection could get very expensive for the company without a motivated pilot group. In the past one bad flight overage would get "absorbed" into the pay credit for the trip. Not now.
