Cost neutral has been Jeff Smisek's mantra with regard to the combined contract since negotiations started, it's not something I made up or found on any forum. Everywhere I looked in the TA that there was a gain there were two or more areas where we as pilots lost ground. I think management won out.

There is no provision in ALPA merger policy that says a TA will affect SLI. Even if one side was given 100 years of seniority for pay, it wouldn't affect anything. Longevity is what it is. Any reasonable person can see that and the arbitrator isn't going to care. |
