I've read the LOAs and spoken with intelligent people, but can't get a definitive answer: when do the new pay rates go into effect? For the previously furloughed (and everybody else, but stay with me) my understanding was that it would be immediate, that the LOA implementation was date-of-signing. Another opinion is that those of us brought onto the CAL side would go to the new new-hire rate immediately, and two bid periods later, a longevity rate. Regardless, the rate still shows what it did last month. I'm not trying to rehash a "see, I told ya so" flamefest, but does anyone know unequivocally?

Keep checking ccs mine changed yesterday, but I can not explain why it is what it is. It seems to me it is incorrect. It is my "formulated" united longevity number adjusted to 08 instead of 13. That being said my training partners was close but not exact and I can't explain why? If anyone knows who to contact to get this straightened out please let me know.

Someone onthe ual forum said they called 800-338-2739 and the payroll person corrected it on the spot. I believe the correct date for longevity is 5/6/08 for now.

I was 9/07 hire at UAL and my current rate in CCS shows 5th year blended rate of 113.80 and Step 4 for Longevity. As pointed out before, the longevity date listed on your pay register is probably wrong. They were all over the map with guys from my class. I think the correct date is 5/6/08 for the time being.

With the longevity change in the pay register the way it is...I think that will bump your advance on the 1st of the month to $3000 for the interim as they transition to the UAL system of paying a month in arrears.

When you check this out, make sure that you get paid your new rate EFFECTIVE AFTER NOV 30. The pay rates were effective for the FIRST bid period that the DOS occurred in.... hence, December will be paid in its entirety at the new rate. I'm not familiar if there is some sort of difference with the LOA for previously furloughed, so I'd check with someone in the union regarding that.

I'm assuming there will be QUITE a few payroll errors for awhile, so it would behoove us to all check our numbers.

In CCS, the longevity step shows as years completed with the pay rate being for the next year. As the example above, 4 years of completed longevity so you are in year 5 for pay.

And FYI, on the CAL side the first day of the December bid period was December 1st as December goes from 12/1-12/31 this year.

I verified my pay rates on my pay register in CCS yesterday. It took a few steps to get the system programmed it appears. First, my per diem was corrected. Then a couple hours later my large aircraft pay was corrected and then a few hours later my small aircraft pay was corrected. Verified all the block times and pay rates on the subsequent screens and all are correct going back to December 1st. Plus the new blended rate shows as well.

By chance did you happen to go down to Mexico this month? Wondering if you (or anyone) on the CAL side has seen the override show up. I did MEX last trip and again next, and wanted to make sure they have included the INTL pay. At UAL they have made it next to impossible to see what the heck you are getting paid for.

Yes, my 30 wonderful hours in BJX (Leon, Meehico) earlier this week was indeed credited with the Intl override and perdiem. Enough to pay for Pepto, Cipro, and a Coke for the drive home.

Did you Cal guys notice the little Easter egg that says we have to pay back our advance next year? That's a $3000 dick sandwich. LOA 26, page 473, #50.
