Gull...that is the most ridiculous assertion I have read here in a while. Didn't your merger committee participate in the negotiation of the TPA? You should be urinating on your MEC's leg, not the CAL pilots.

My understanding is that one would have been Chapter Seven, not Eleven in the Book of Bankruptcy.

Yes, they did.

It very nearly went in a third time in 1994,
Yet when I mention that CAL wasn't even on my radar and that there was no way I was interested in applying or working at CAL during that time I am accused of "trashing" CAL.

Strange.

I guess the whipper snappers have a different view of the world than those of us who were there participating in it.

The other reason CAL wasn't on your radar is because it did no off the street hiring from about '90-'97 (kind of a chicken/egg thing). The last bankruptcy happened before the majority of the CAL pilots were on property, thus a little different perspective.

I'm trying to figure out which one you are here; green with envy that you were unable to cross the picket line and thus steal a Continental pilots job or are you mad because you are now unable to steal from current Continental pilots the CA vacancies that they earned through concessions, age 65, and Abbotization. If there was another bid to come after bid 14-02 and was exactly like bid 14-02, you might actually have a leg to stand on. As it is now, you come across as a low-life opportunist that tho;)ught he had a chance to get his so-called glorious life back that he used to enjoy at United and now can't because the one thing that stands in your way in another pilot group that you would just soon as **** on and then set fire to, almost in the same manner that you threw your furlouged brethern under the bus to keep what little you could get after two trips to BK.

Maybe you are both.....

Opportunists?
Didn't CAL open bases in tradtional UAL bases?
How is it that CAL pilots earned the right to live in base now?

Don't know. Never did, never will. Ask the scarebus guys in IAH.

Don't forget about the UAL767 guys in IAH now.

Do I care? NOPE! Stop worrying about things you can't control.

It's all out of our hands now, and I'm OK with that.

I know there is always a drama from a merger.. But as a commuter and a former DL corporate employee.. I have never met such a humble and nice pilot group at both UA and CO.. I'm being honest but just throwing some positive karma out there.. :)

There are rumblings now that the company is in violation of the TPA flying ratios between LUAL & CO. Every new plane CO gets, takes them deeper into the violation.

Every 757 we park, it gets even worse. Look for local council resolutions and possible grievances to be filed.

Thanks Dave. I was under the impression the flying ratios expired with the new contract. I guess the grievance comm must be a full time ALPA position these days.
