Oh, and after having to deal with your Newark mechanics, I learned how you guys operate! They get incensed when I have the temerity to actually write up something! I've been told bluntly that "that's not how we do things here - we 'work together' to avoid delays". THAT is the kind of *** operation you allowed to thrive. Then you have the gall to ridicule the UAL pilots for demanding high quality maintenance standards. It's a good thing your planes are newer...
If you're a real pilot you'll understand that the exterior paint mismatches carry no negative connotations for the maintenance status of the plane.

My experience in with your mechanics suggest you are in the minority. I've heard my Captains being informed that 'if you were a Continental captain you would be replaced'. I guess they are all just making this stuff up.
The bottom line is that the maintenance condition of our planes is NOT what you insinuated. If it were, that plane would still be at the gate.

Call it an evening & start fresh tomorrow. Totaling TOS Violation Points is 'no bueno'. I enjoy reading some of your post's, don't want you to get 86'ed.
