That is what will make some difference to the way that PBS has treated our CAL brothers over the years. But we shall see soon enough if there will be any improvements.

Which is why the CAL position never age progressed the list so that we could see where people fall out in 5,10,15 years, etc.

Even if all the 25-40 year old CAL pilots were stapled to the bottom, all but 5 UAL pilots would have retired and those pilots will still all be widebody Captains for more years than they would have without a merger.....

If you say 777 Captain then this is true. But I think its a little disingenuous to say this as many of us 05 hires can hold 756 Captain on the last bid. It pays a blended rate on reserve. I'll agree that most of the wide body time will get plucked off for better pay. But, I was on this plane on reserve (by choice) since 05. Very easy living and I still flew the 76 quite a bit.

Please don't say it's because of our work rules. The junior captains at UAL are about the same seniority as CAL.

I don't mind the discussion and I appreciate guys like you that can keep it civil. So, I just wanted to point out the inaccuracy of saying we would hold wide body captain longer if you shuffled us to the bottom. It's just not accurate in many cases.

Uhmm, looks like some of your brothers think being a WB-FO is better than being a CAP. In fact in the illustrious class of '05 I count 439 pilots and 72 Caps. So looks like most people think life as a WB-FO is better. Gee what a shock? :rolleyes:
