The company can convert all Long call reserves to short call whenever they choose to do so. There is also no limit to the number of times they can do this in a month. For bases other than EWR or IAH this happens daily. It basically makes long call rare and destroys quality of life for us commuters.

Can't tell you how many captains told me "Oh, they won't do that" and other similar rejoinders after they asked me why I was voting no. Never mind that the furloughed bubbas were on here telling us how the CAL reserves were treated.

One by one, the chickens are coming home to roost.

I was one of the furloughed bubbas screaming at the TOP OF MY LUNGS! .........and here we are today.
