Default Free Flights, Thanks IT!

If you all check the news you will find UAL sold tickets for FREE, that's right FREE today. It happened in the late AM until 14:45 Central. I believe it was first noticed by someone's "twitter" account telling of the bargains out there.

So Jeff are you going to make someone responsible for cost the airlines probably hundreds of millions of lost revenue today?

Remember these are the same people who program the flight plans.

Maybe it was a cheap marketing campaign, you know.... no press is bad press.
These were people who weren't going to fly anyway, until ultra cheap fare, you know kinda like the "southwest" effect taken to the extreme......

I wonder if the other work groups at UAL high five each other when pilots screw up and demand that heads roll?

Fact is, whomever screwed this up is probably under immense pressure and understaffing and is probably working their ass off to save their job right now. The problem was unlikely caused by them, but by an institutional problem.
