No....you are not locked. You can bid 756 and hold it no problem in IAH or EWR. You could also bid for a 320 position but then you would incur a seat lock or "freeze" for 2 years.

You can always bid "up" in class of airplane.......bidding down form 777 FO to 737 FO would also get you a "freeze"

U can bid up to a higher pay band at any time.

You can bid up, over (same category), or left, but not down.
I am looking to bid down to A320 or 737, but I believe I can't because it's been less than 2 years since initial...

Would someone be willing to post the results of the junior FO awarded to SFO, SEA and DEN and even LAX? Guessing high for the latter bases, but maybe not SFO. Thanks!

Just read contract. Section 8-d. It's all in there. And it's like you think. Clear as mud. I don't think that you can bid sideways (777 to 787) for L-CAL side
