Morse is a complete idiot. Kravitz is a complete whack job. Rice is an ALPA national hack. I don't know anything about JH. |

I'm sCAL...Dave Earnest and Eric Hunter are stand up guys. I've flown with both, on several occasions, once in the right seat many years ago. They'll do just fine. |

Krazy Kravits theory on this...
The MEC Election - So what just happened? Well, Jay Heppner sold his and Bob Fox’s souls to the CAL side by trading the single vote that Heppner needed for what appears to be only two positions at the MEC level, that of Secretary and Treasurer. Reports indicate that former L-CAL EWR representatives Tara Cook had a big smile on her face shortly after the election. Why could that be? Could it be that at this very moment the CAL MEC has the votes necessary to recall Heppner and Fox. Much like when Wendy Morse was MEC Chairman and Heppner’s boys had most of the votes to recall her. Now, with the 9 MEC votes that CAL has, plus the votes from Chicago and Seattle, Heppner and Fox are hanging by the good will of the CAL pilots. In fact, if they wanted to, now that they have the votes of SEC and TRES., Heppner and Fox could be recalled tomorrow, or at the end of this month at the regularly scheduled MEC meeting, and a deal could be cut to replace Heppner with someone else, perhaps a United pilot, and the CAL pilots could get MEC Vice Chairman too. Though sources indicate that the CAL MEC wasn’t interested in only that single position at this time. They wanted two seats and Heppner gave it to them. So where does this leave us? Perhaps Tara was smiling because she knows that Jay Heppner and Bob Fox are now her Beeyatches. When the elections for committee positions occur in a few weeks, if Heppner and Fox don’t acquiesce to CAL’s desires, all CAL has to do is tell SEA and ORD that they can have a new Master Chairman and Vice Chairman. Thus Heppner is now in a seat that was all warmed up by him, a seat that was previously occupied by Chairman Morse. What do they say ... What goes around comes around? Thank GOD the Morse/Kravit duo has been defeated. Thanks for squandering MILLIONS in equity sharing |

And I'd bet my B fund you voted YES in Contract '02. With that history, you sure are a solid judge of union officer potential. Thankfully the blind sheep that allowed the debacle that was CAL ALPA are being out to pasture.

Talked to Eric for about 20 minutes about contract during voting. VERY smart. VERY principled. Good guy as far as I could tell in that short time.

Hopefully we can get to the point where we quit worrying about who came from where and we realize that we are one group. If we don't, this company will revel in the divisiveness.
I would have preferred a fresh face at MEC Chair but it is what it is. |

I would have preferred a fresh face at MEC Chair but it is what it is. Hopefully in the upcoming Council 12 election this month the Chicago pilots will elect leaders that will want to represent all pilots! All these current reps wanted to do was to consolidate their team of political hacks. At least they have showed their true agenda. Since many of you have asked, and in the interest of transparency, we will tell you that we voted for Captain Paul Rice for Master Chairman, Captain Steve Lynch for Vice-Chairman, First Officer Chris McCullough for Secretary, and Captain Joseph Genovese for Treasurer. As of this morning, these were the declared candidates (along with Captain Heppner) who had announced their intention to run for these positions. |
