I was hoping being a U-hire was going to get easier post SLI, but it is trending negative. Haven't been able to list for a flight for over a week, without calling the FODM.
I was a VF, and as such, have special recall rights, which are not being honored now after almost 2 months being "recalled". Not good. The company states "they are working on it". There is no asterisk special note in the contract that allows the company 2 months, or more, to "work on it".

The FODM has been functioning as a travel agent for U-hires for the last week. One of them spent 2 hours or more, at least, trying to figure out how to list me on a flight. To him, thank you very much.
U-hire commuters must be pulling their hair out. Luckily, I only had to do it once.
At least my jumpseat date of hire has been fixed. For the last 9 months it was 31 Dec 2013. Any pilot who is hired this month could bump me off the jumpseat.
Now, if I could just list.........
