They finally got training dates in January. Yes the company is rewarding their favorite pilot group for all the concessions, scabbing, and waiving of their contract over the years.

Which "they" are you referring to? I know a lot of lcal pilots that haven't been trained and I have met some lual pilots that have 737 training dates.

Long term, this could be the ultimate divide and conquer by the company. Not only do they hate us, but they have another pilot group to replace us with.

So lets extrapolate this into the next economic downturn. UAL decides to park 400's and a bunch of airbuses and furlough 2000 pilots. Again. They submit displacements, and then retrain UAL pilots 1st, and leave CAL pilots' in the left seats, out of seniority. Then stop the bumps and retraining, for 3-5 years.

Sound far-fetched? To me, no more far-fetched than disregarding completely the arbitrators's decision.

Very troubling.

I think the "ultimate divide" of this pilot group will rest within the group itself and forums such as these.

I think most pilots are naive and haven't learned from history. We've been getting rolled for years, and still are. Watch out for Emitates and cabotage.

Enforce your contract, insist on it!

These forums you describe are echo chambers of the cockpit.
