I noticed what looks like secondary displacements on the 747 bump as well. Looks like a LAX 767T capt got bumped as well as the guppy Capt in DEN.

Wait, that can't happen.

There won't be any displacements. Right? Right???????

I think they are coming to the conclusion they need to bump first, then advertise vacancies. I think that will limit a lot of vacancies except those fenced. I would bet the 76T bumps are about to start.

Nope. We were told that this won't happen.

Of course the same people said the UAL SLI proposal was "extreme" and it was 90% adopted.

Except there cannot be secondaries without a formal displacement notice and separate bidding period as per contract. The (apparent) secondaries on the LAX 747 Displacement snapshot are probably IT errors. Pilots other than LAX 747 put in bids on their displacement bidding screen, and the system awarded them.
That said, I predict some 76T/756 bumps in our near future.

IT errors. They're probably still using LCALs software and forgot to adjust the results for the current UPA. LCAL's "system bids" were vacancy and displacement bids all at once. Everyone had to make sure their standing bid was current because anything could happen. Now, those who might be displaced have to be notified beforehand.

8-E-2 Displacement bulletins shall be published not less than thirty (30) days nor more than 125 days prior to the effective date of the displacement bulletin.

8-E-3 Displacement bulletins shall state the number of displacements that may occur in a Category; the effective date of the displacement bulletin; a seniority range of those subject to involuntary displacement, to indicate the displacement rights of any volunteer(s); and the current minimum and maximum number of positions for all Categories, as determined by the Company.

It seems to me the company is completely ignoring lots of provisions of the UPA. Why would displacements be any different?

Pilot64golfer;

Who is telling you this? Your local LEC reps?
