FAKE if you are a commuter

Yep, even crappy trips with DHs at either end don't last long in open time for that exact reason.

ETS shuttle between EWR and JFK is $35, desk at baggage claim, runs hourly.
Allcountyexpress.com for EWR to LGA, $32.

Almost did JFK once for a commute home, but missed the hourly shuttle.

Other option is NJT train, via EWR Airtrain to NJT stop, or pick it up near a crashpad, in my case. Ride to NY Penn, xfer to Subway to nearest stop an cab from there. Cheaper than shuttle but more of a hassle.

LGA trips are starting to show up in open time, so be aware of your options. The 2 that are in open time now are AM starts, around 7:45. I am thinking a solid 2 hours is safe for getting between two, obviously that is traffic depending.

Trying to go from one to another for an early morning show is almost impossible on public transportation, being co-located on reserve will not be fun if they start moving people around at the drop of a hat.

EWR-LGA (or vice versa) can be done by bus to Port Authority (or NJ Transit train to Penn Station), subway N or Q line (they are express) to Astoria Blvd, then the M60 bus straight to LGA. There are free transfers if you use a Metrocard and it is much easier than it sounds- it is MUCH faster than ground transportation during rush hour. ALWAYS try to stick to rail.
