LGA trips

I'm new on reserve in EWR (NYC technically, I guess) on the 737 and I noticed more and more trips start/end in LGA. Does anyone know where I would park my car? Is there an employee lot? Thanks!

Pretty sure you just park in airport parking and then submit for reimbursement. That's what we do in the other bases when we fly a trip that's not out of our primary airport.

Look it up in the contract, but I think it has to be submitted within 10 days after parking there. I lost the $33 for the day trip I parked there, because I waited too long to submit the receipt.

The company should provide parking at all 3 airports. EWR, LGA and JFK. I don't think you have to submit the parking expenses on a regular bases. You are also entitled for crosstown mileage. Maybe one of the JFK guys can chime in with the details.

Not sure about LGA, but I know out in SJC we park in the regular parking lot and expense it.

TO THE OP: WHENEVER YOU SUBMIT AN EXPENSE REPORT HERE AT UNITED, MAKE SURE YOU SAVE A COPY OF THE RECEIPT AND THE PHOTO YOU TOOK OF IT UNTIL IT'S BEEN PAID. Their new favorite trick is to sit on expenses for a month and then deny the claim saying that your receipt wasn't legible. Then you can email them a copy of the receipt if you want it to be reconsidered. Of course, when you try to go back in and look at the picture that you originally submitted, they remove it and it simply says "receipt received".

I just took a full-res 36MP image of my alterations receipt. You want it legible? I could blow this thing up large enough to wallpaper my hotel room with.

Call the CPO and see what they say...

I am still trying to find the 10 day reimbursement rule for you... A Capt I flew with pointed it out when I was about a week late.

4-H-7 Unusual but reasonable expense(s) encountered by a Pilot that are not normally reimbursable shall be reimbursed, provided he submits appropriate supporting documentation.

I think this covers your parking at LGA... I can't find the 10 day rule... It's driving me crazy because I know I read it months ago. Hopefully someone else can chime in. Good Luck!!!

Prior to the merger at UAL cross town was paid automatically no expense report needed. How friggin simple is that?
