Unfortunately, you are required to make "two-way contact" to acknowledge a SC/FSB. I wait until as close to midnight as I can.

ACKNOWLEGING ASSIGNMENTS:
There are different ways to acknowledge assignments depending on whether the assignment is a Trip or a Short Call/FSB, and depending on an individual pilot’s CCS functionality.

Acknowledging Short Call or Field Stand By Assignments: Reserves in all fleets must call the crew desk to acknowledge SC/FSB assignments. Currently there is no way to acknowledge SC or FSB assignments electronically via CCS.

Acknowledging Flying Assignments:
All Pilots: Pilots may either call the crew desk to acknowledge, or use the following CCS Master Schedule Update functionality:
· Pull down the “Master Schedule” link in CCS
· Put your file number in the box labeled “Schedule Update” on the Master Schedule page (the lower box of the two on the left)
· Hit “enter” to pull up an updatable version of the master schedule.
· In the updateable master schedule, type the letters “CHK” in the block next to the first day of the trip, place a “Y” in the update box on the bottom right of the page and hit “enter”.
· You should get a transaction complete message on the bottom left of the screen if successful

APC you are quite the guru, thanks for the references! Just seems easier to read here than in the full contract. Not sure why...
