Funny, and quite possibly true! (Re: Archie and the old Jeppesen sound-on-slide training from 15 years ago).

"Base Alignment Training."

I just did a search on UA departures today, on my trusty Flight Status app, to help clarify the 76T vs 75/67 category. Now I'm more confused. I looked strictly at LGA and JFK. I counted 1 757 departing LGA and 14 757s departing JFK. So the 76T is not to JFK. It's to EWR correct? I must have had a misunderstanding. This looks to be the case when looking at UA's terminal at JFK. So a pilot assigned the 76T will never see JFK. Please correct me as you see fit. Thanks

76T covers all 3 airports. JFK 757 P.S. service, domestic stuff out of LGA 757, and international out of EWR 767.

And, I'm pretty sure it is only to swap fleets within the same base/domicile.

IE, if you are a new-hire 76T in EWR, you can't apply for BAT to 756 in LAX.
True Dat.... Same base...

Thanks...sorry for the chaff, I figured out the answer soon after hitting send.

Question for the new hires on the 76T. What percentage of flying do you:
Fly 757 trips out of JFK?
Fly 757 trips out of EWR?
Fly intl trips?

Do JFK trips go senior or junior and is trading/APU to get there an option?
Thanks

The bid packet for August is 3 pages.

The short answer:

As of now you have a 99% chance of international 767 flying out of EWR.

This month the answer is you are going to London, Paris, AMS, or GVA out of EWR. Next month it gets paired back to GVA and London.

Lga and Ewr on the 757 only happen on reserve every once in a great while. (I have yet to fly out of LGA, been here 6 months) There are no ewr or lga domestic trips on the bid packet.

The other domiciles have been doing the JFK ps service for the last couple months. Next month there is one PS trip, on one day, on the bid packet.

Unfortunately, there is no way to guess what it will be like when you get out here. The BAT vacancy has made everything very confusing.

pm me if you want more info.

I'm not sure if I'm reading into this correctly [I know someone on here will correct me if I'm wrong], but if there are 99 involuntary bids from 76T over to 756, that could help mitigate the backwards-slide I've been encountering each month since half of all the 76T F/O's are junior to me!

I'm no fan of the BAT-bid process, but it's what I have to live with, I suppose.

What is so bad about the 76t? Why does nobody want it?

It is a dying fleet slated to be merged into the 756 fleet. Prior to the merging of the fleets, the 76T id's will become unproductive with lots of sits, long layovers, and deadheading.
