Nine times 120 - All Pilots at the Company!!
1,080/ 12,600 = 8.5% of all pilots. This is about right and what we saw in the late 90s on the UAL guppy fleets. |

I also looked at the BAT as abrogation of seniority. Everyone should have been able to bid those positions.
I'm not saying I'm happy about this, but how is this so different than merging the two lists in the cities which have both 76t and 756? There wouldn't be a vacancy, they would just merge the lists. BUT there was a vacancy for anyone who really wanted it... As I recall 100 76t FOs a month or two ago? Voluntary BAT to the 756 was always an option from that point. |

I am personally not upset about this, as it did not affect me. But it affected someone. |

FOs: 27 voluntary bids & 63 involuntary Brutal.......Every single new hire to the 76T since new hires started being given the plane displaced to the 756. Say goodbye to the days of a new hire holding a line. |
also 10 more EWR 76T CAs took a BAT so that now leaves 23 in base. Makes me wonder if they are just going to shut the base down and run all the 767-300 flying as a W through other bases. They already found a way to reroute the PS flying through other bases and there is no domestic.

Why on earth did the Union agree to this seniority abrogating procedure anyway? Seems to me that if you're on either of these two aircraft, (76T & 756), you get the best of both worlds. Full participation in our regular vacancy bids AND these private BAT ones. Guys on the A320 & the 737 would like a shot at these slots as well but are locked out. Absolute horse-****

There is not a net gain or loss in BAT. If there was, there would be vacancies or displacements for all to bid. It's as if the fleet were one... the decrease in 76T = the increase in 756. No change.
Trust me when I tell you this isn't a CAL only gripe as quite a few Airbus types are ****ed about it as well. |
My point exactly. ALPA agreed to this.
