Yes. Nov Crew Resources Outlook shows overstaffed on the bus and 76T. Understaffed on the 737. Crew Planning can solve both problems by displacing the bus/76T. The only question is when. Latest from CP and C33 reps is probably not until July for the 76T (effective Oct) with possible bus displacement(s) before summer.

Good gouge. Thanks. Howard actually said DEN 76T would see displacements on one of his weekly updates in Oct. That didn't happen. Crew Planning and Flt Ops had different ideas. But it makes sense. TK is ROLLING!! I haven't seen anything like this since the late 90's. They will be lucky to train all these vacancies by summer, I doubt Crew Planning will throw any more fuel on the fire with displacements.

When I was a PI in the 90s we used to have sim sessions that started at midnight and ended at 4am. The only times people weren't in the sims were from 4am to 6am.
It was crazy, but we were hiring 1,000 a year at the time. I don't think I ever saw a new hire class that wasn't at least 24 pilots.

There are 58 retirements by 04/01/15 listed on the most recent bulletin. Only 5 of those are DEN people. So, DEN isn't going to reduce via retirements at all. And based on the last displacement bid done here on the 76T and the Bus, most pilots seem to be choosing to stay here and bid what's available rather than chase the plane and/or upgrade and commute. Lots of brand new 737 captains from that displacement and probably less than expected went to WB flying in other domiciles.
So, unless they drastically increase NB flying or open a WB fleet here, retirements, at least in the next few years, won't have much of an impact.
But that's just a guess.
