Probably pretty close.

My guess is the bean counters went back to all the years United was profitable and ginned up a formula to exclude the lions share of profit and to essentially throw scraps to the pilots

Don't forget the upcoming contract when you compare our profit sharing to Delta's. From trip rigs, profit sharing, to the continued interpretation of our living document the UPA, we have been played. Time to unite?

And don't forget the APA dragging yall down for a one time credit to get rid of our profit sharing at the new AA

APA dragging United ALPA down? Not following here.

IMHO The current UAL contract ain't great but it ain't horrible either.

This thread is about WAGs on the 2014 Ual PS. Whatever you got going over there in APA land is your business and by the looks of it there is a long ugly road ahead.

Been there done that. Whew...

Its a Merger Contract. Could have been better, could have been worse.

Next one should be much better.

Better than LCAL! Management knew exactly when we'd become profitable and we would vote in a contract which had an outstanding profit sharing equation in the unprofitable years but would sunset practically to the month we earned a profit.

I've heard that for every contract since I've been on property, including C2K. For C2K, it was 'this is a money contract; we'll get work rules back on the next one'.

We need to hire professional negotiators and not let any pilots sit at the negotiating table for contracts. It's too easy for management to distract pilot negotiators with shiny objects.

3 accountants are interviewed for a company CFO job. They are all handed some quarterly raw data and asked to compute earnings per share.
The first one comes back with $1.29/share.
The second one comes back with $1.47/share.

The third one doesn't bother opening the books; he asks, 'what do you want it to be'?

The third accountant got the job.

Variations of that joke have been told at the start of a couple of accounting classes I've taken.

Great conspiracy theory. With that said you do know that our PS formula is an exact copy of the Delta pilots profit sharing formula, right?
