Well, since the new iPads were supposed to be deployed by now, not surprised UAL misses another time line.

And, no, no word for me either way.

 

FO I just flew with said he was going to Ipad trainer training in ORD this week. I think that train has left the station.

Do you guys really think you were applying for this job? I bet those positions were already spoken for and the application process was just going through the motions. Every time we go to these required training programs BET, Fuel 1 and 2, Safety Stand Downs, it's always the same people doling out the info.

 

FWIW on another board a guy-who-knows-a-guy who flew with an FO who is going to training for this assignment. So the people may have already been notified.

 

Yep, I agree. I was hoping that maybe something had changed. Oh well.

 

My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with the girl who met an iPad trainer at 31 Flavors last night said they already picked the people.

So I guess that's official.

Uhh uhh....I wonder how they made their selections. Not that I'm disappointed, but my qualifications are pretty good, and can't imagine too many others better qualified. Maybe another friends of Fred program?

Maybe I'm overthinking this, maybe it's as simple as they're too cheap to pay a captain for what they consider an F/O job....
