3 LAX 777 captains
20 SFO 777 captains
25 DCA 737 captains
20 IAH 320 captains

First Officers
7 LAX 787 first officers
3 SFO 787 first officers

22 ORD 777 first officers
7 IAH 777 first officers
10 LAX 777 first officers

60 EWR 756 first officers
30 DCA 756 first officers

There is a very large spread in the MIN/MAX numbers in the narrow bodies I'm not seeing a lot of backfills on this bid but the wide body growth is refreshing!

Every 787 cA that retires makes our airline that much safer ;)

It is great to see the movement !!

About 350 FOs vacancies. That'll keep the hiring pipeline open for awhile.

Do 400 Capts ever retire?

Monkeyfly 01-27-2015 11:56 AM

New hires looking for DCA should be happy.

If you look at the latest roster there are a lot retiring. However, there are quite a few 400 pilots doing the work of two right now. Plus, I noticed that the investor fleet plan shows 2 planes retiring this year, which is a change.

New hires looking for any hub should be happy. These large bids may mean more juniority everywhere.

Pretty sure the 737 in DCA/IAD is gonna go pretty senior.

As someone interested in that category I'm curious why it would be senior given the relative juniority of 756 and 76T FO positions in the same domicile.

Captain will go senior...but the FO seat will eventually be very junior. If you don't live in DC, it's a PITA to cover all three airports.
