I finished INDOC and had 2 weeks off. most of my class same, a few had less than a week. my 73 training class all had at least a week off, some as much as 3 weeks.

Any updates to the latest classes? I suspect this is always changing.

I had 12 days off on the 756 in February. I was about average at the time, some had 1 day some had 3 weeks. A few friends of mine that started end of March on the 756 have 5-6 weeks off!

Mid March class date here that is on the 756. I have a total of 4.5 weeks off from indoc to training. There seemed to be no rhyme or reason as to who got the most time off.

Any updates on "possible" delays or starting right away between Basic Indoc and Training?

Nothing you can take to the bank, unfortunately.

As far as the company is concerned, they own you in training, and will schedule (or change the schedule) for whatever needs arise.

Depends on the fleet. 737 new hires are ranging 2 days - 2 weeks between indoc & fleet training. Not sure about bus or 75 since I'm at IAH TC.

Friend had 6 weeks off between Indoc and training (756) and then 4 weeks off between training and IOE. Good deal all around.

I posed the question yesterday about foreseeable problems with getting guys through training with as many as are being hired. The answer was that there weren't going to be any problems. The answer was a confident "We'll get everyone through fine." Schedules came out yesterday. We were all told they are "very preliminary" and not to put too much confidence into them as they will likely change. We have two scheduled days off at the end of Indoc. My 737 training starts the very next day after those two days off. Which I'm fine with. Some "paid time off" would be nice, especially during the summertime. However I'm quite happy and excited to start, so either way, its fine by me.

So if you have plans... I'd be careful as it looks like the machine is moving right along. I'll keep you posted if things change. I'll also ask around the class when everyone has had a chance to see their training dates.

Thanks to all for the info/updates!

I'm in the same boat where I'd be ok starting right away, but I also wouldn't complain about some "paid" time off in August. Just glad to have the opportunity and ready to get going!
