The E175 is currently in service with United Express.

The C-Series is about 80% of the way through fight test according to Bombardier.

Yep, I should have said the C series; all too familiar with the lovely E175

Flying with a new Bus captain who just finished training. Here's the skinny he got straight from the route planning honcho & system chief pilot:

- Continental management made a lot of decisions that didn't make sense (i.e. preferring the Guppy over the Bus without having factual information to support view); company is beginning to unwind some of these bad decisions
- Continental didn't like the Airbus, hence its placement as a super RJ in the route system; suggested this will change (specifically mentioned Bogota Guppy limitations that don't apply to Airbii)
- Company is not happy with the 787. When it works, it's a rockstar; when it's not ready to fly, we're getting hammered on cancellations.
- Despite its limitations, the company is getting Guppies so cheap they can't afford not to take them
- Net gain of 100 mainline aircraft; used Spirit Airbii are in the mix along with the Chinese & maybe Turkish Airlines Airbii as well

Sounds about as objective an opinion as one would expect going thru an upgrade course in Houston, albeit with different vindictives.

My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with the girl who saw a check airman at 31 Flavors last night. I guess it's pretty serious.
