Live there, OR be based there. So if you are LAX or SFO based but live out of state this still applies to you. You have to call instead of doing it through our lovely IT system.

Gotcha, thanks for the info

I love everything about California, this provision simply adds to the lore.

I especially love all the little signs posted everywhere that inform you of your impending DEATH (If you walk on the ramp, there are carcinogens that will kill you).

I've seen these signs in different places around town. It always makes me laugh.

Hyatt Long Beach. There's a sign outside the entrance stating that the paint contains carcinogens. ... I was thinking about licking the building until I read that sign.

Please, do not perpetuate this totally arbitrary "5 excused absences" tripe. Your sick time is yours. Pretty sure the 121 Regs are crystal clear on this and there is no mention of AMS or Sparky the CP.

Remember when it was 7? What will it be next year, 4? And the year after?

With MASSIVE apologies to JFK, "Ask not what your CP wants you to do, ask what your passengers (along with the FAA and your flying partner) expect you to do."

Does anyone know how we find our rolling 12 month sick list call record? We used to have a screen on Unimatic but I can't find anything on our new "IT" system.

Go to pay register beta on ccs, it will show the hours of sick leave you used each month. That is the best I can come up with for a quick and dirty.

5 days or 5 calls?? Is this something the company tries to actively enforce?
