Has anyone used this and if so how do you tell scheduling? Thanks.

Is that like a sick call to go to the beach

I've done this by calling scheduling and informing them that I was using California sick. They didn't seem to really care but that's the only way to do it that I know of.

Why call? Just log into CCS and click "im sick"

A "california sick call" is used not when you are sick but when a dependent is sick. A call to scheduling is to the only way to do this.

Do you have to live in California to utilize this?

clubord 04-22-2015 07:55 AM

If you're not physically or mentally ready to come to work. That's what the time is for.

Enjoy your days off!

Live there, OR be based there. So if you are LAX or SFO based but live out of state this still applies to you. You have to call instead of doing it through our lovely IT system.

California sick call does not go toward your 5 excused absences in a 12 month period
