I can shed a little light on the part 91 training records thing. We own a 2014 Falcon 900LX. Strictly part 91 for my family use. When we bought the aircraft, we recirved 2pilot training slots at Flightsafety.
(For two type ratings in the plane).

Me and my co captain go every six months for recurrent. We get a detailed printout of everything we do. Classroom and simulator. Really, the record keeping at Flightsafety is as good or better than any airline. You can retrieve and print everything from day one.
